“What is fiscal sponsorship? Do I need a fiscal sponsor? What are the benefits of fiscal sponsorship over the course of my career?”

In this public dialogue, Co-Director Rebecca Fitton, will share insights into her research on fiscal sponsorship. Over the past three years, Fitton has investigated the practice of fiscal sponsorship in the nonprofit dance field and its purported advancement of financial equity and economic justice for artists historically under-resourced by public and private institutions. This conversation invites questions and discussion about the largely uninterrogated practice outside of legal and accounting circles, over advice or suggestions for best practices.
